- Employers want smart people to work for them.
- If you pay your taxes, you can expect some kind of financial help from the state when you are unemployed.
- Laws are designed to protect the employees' interests so that unemployment could be avoided.
- The state understands that it is in its elementary interest not to leave their citizens to be unemployed for too long.
- Employers understand that it is in their elementary interest not to leave the citizens of the country they operate in to be unemployed for too long.
- If you invest in your knowledge, this will be rewarded somehow in the job market. You will be better off than someone who didn't invest a penny in his knowledge.
- People are wise and, if they are given options, they won't choose the one that is worse for them than the other one.
- People are able to make unbiased decisions.
- Human managers can make better decisions than Artificial Intelligence would.
Maybe all of the above assumptions are false. They don't work in this country or in this world. I can only guess why.
